 You might have heard that glass is super cooled liquid.Do you know the reason behind it?Let's get into it.

Glass is a transparent amorphous homogeneous mixture of metallic silicates of alkali metals like Sodium and potassium.Glass is also considered as the fourth state of matter after solid,liquid and gas.Moreover,it is also called super cooled liquid due to the fact that the molecules of the glass move from top to bottom like the molecules of water possessing the property of liquid

 On the other hand, it is robust and hard in texture like solid.Hence,it's characteristics are intermediate between solid and liquid making it the fourth state of matter.

This phenomenon of movement of molecules from top to bottom takes significant time.A  standing glass is thicker at the bottom and narrower at the upper part  after few years due to the same property of glass.
